“For The Love of Lydia” Annual Charity Ball.

We recently held our annual charity ball on Saturday 20th June 2015 at Crewe Alexandra Football Club in aid of…Lydias Lodge Banner

Lydia’s Lodge is a holiday home that has been bought in memory of Jackie’s Daughter Lydia who passed away 6 years ago from a very rare brain tumour, aged 6 years old. Since then Jackie and her Husband Dave, along with their family and friends have raised over £120,000 by holding various events in memory of Lydia including an annual sponsored walk and grand ball. We recently purchased a holiday lodge in Porthmadog which is used by families who have children with life limiting illnesses and our aim is to let as many families as possible to have a break in the holiday home free of charge.

This was our 5th Annual Ball which was very well supported, with over 160 guests attending a great time was had by all. A grand total of £8,500 was raised on the night and this will go towards the upkeep of the lodge ensuring the families that visit will have a lovely holiday together.

Blessing Service for Chapel Of Rest

group 1Jacqueline Wilson Independent Funeral Services Ltd opened in March 2013 at Hill View, High Street, Clotton, Tarporley, Cheshire.

A dedication and blessing service of the chapel of rest took place on Friday 26 April 2013.

Jackie, the Funeral Director said:

When we made the decision to open our funeral home it was very important to us that we provided a service to our local community that was professional, caring and sensitive at all times and most importantly that our families felt comfortable entrusting their loved one in our care.

The service which was led by Reverend Keith Hine and Reverend Adam Friend was attended by many local clergy, civil celebrants, lay readers, vergers, florists, stone masons and friends and family.
